Large coverage area and full coverage requirement
A single airport runway can cover more than 3 square kilometers. The monitoring area is vast and requires continuous, full-coverage detection without blind spots.
Complex environments and difficult target recognition
Birds are small, fast-moving targets that are easily confused with complex airport backgrounds, making stable and accurate detection challenging.
High adaptability to all-weather conditions
Rain, fog, snow, low light, and other adverse conditions significantly affect sensing performance, requiring reliable all-weather operation.

SOLUTION
System Overview
The system processes video and image data collected by front-end sensing devices and performs real-time AI-based bird detection and analysis at the edge, generating visualized spatiotemporal bird activity data to support airport safety operations.
Front-End Multi-Sensor Data Acquisition
High-precision visible-light stereo cameras, infrared thermal imaging cameras, and millimeter-wave radar are deployed to capture video and image data of bird activity, ensuring robust detection across different lighting and weather conditions.
Grid-Based Intelligent Bird Detection
The monitored area is divided into grids and scanned through a patrol mechanism. Bird activity within each grid is detected in real time, with results output in both image form and structured grid-based data, enabling large-scale, blind-spot-free monitoring.
Spatiotemporal Data Visualization
Powered by high-performance edge computing and intelligent bird recognition algorithms, the system analyzes and aggregates detection results in real time, presenting spatiotemporal information such as bird activity zones, occurrence time, and bird counts.

The system operates continuously day and night and remains stable under rain, snow, fog, and other adverse weather conditions, providing uninterrupted intelligent protection.
High-accuracy bird classification
AI algorithms can identify 8 categories and more than 20 common bird species, achieving an overall recognition accuracy exceeding 95%.
Rapid alerting with full event recording
Bird events are detected and alerted within 500 milliseconds, with the entire event automatically recorded for traceability and analysis.
Intelligent integration with bird deterrence systems
The system can automatically link with bird deterrence devices, providing real-time distance and azimuth information to enable automated bird dispersal actions and enhance flight safety.
Improved operational efficiency
AI-based patrol modes significantly reduce manual inspection workloads and support the transition of airport bird management operations toward intelligent and automated workflows.
